Senior Insight Consultant
Reports to: Head of Analytics & Insight
Purpose
This post is suitable for an analyst with a proven track record of successfully delivering analytical projects, influencing decision making and generating insights which enable commercial improvement.
You will be:
- Committed to delivering tangible results, collaborating with our clients to help them use data to improve their business’ performance
- Applying the Logan Tod & Co measurement & evaluation framework to a diverse range of business challenges and analyses to identify the relevant questions, metrics, hypotheses, tests and visualisations that will result in genuinely actionable insight and successful analytics projects
Key Performance Dimensions
Job performance will be measured on the following dimensions:
- Ensuring that individual measurement & evaluation projects are completed on time and to agreed budget, producing the desired results
- All deliverables comply with agreed quality standards with client and Logan Tod & Co
- Personal utilisation of 80% (of time being billable to clients
Accountabilities
- Responsible for data extraction, preparation and visualisation across a range of analytical solutions (from reports/dashboards through to more complex merchandising or attribution tools), ensuring the accuracy of all data output
- Identifying actionable insights by constructing analytical solutions using a range of techniques and tools:
- Behavioural data – e.g. Web Analytics tools such as Omniture SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, Coremetrics and WebTrends
- Mobile, marketing and social analytics
- Customer and voice of customer data
- Transactional, research and competitive data
- Collaborate with other members of the Logan Tod & Co team to create clear, concise and impactful presentations which highlight the key insights and business benefits of implementing the recommendations
- Keeping up to date with the latest analytics developments, techniques and research and assimilating them within Logan Tod & Co best practice
- Identifying best of breed analytics and visualisation tools and assimilating their usage into Logan Tod & Co best practice
Internal responsibilities
- Education of other members of the Logan Tod & Co team regarding the most effective analytics tools and techniques
- Collaboration with other members of the Logan Tod & Co team to determine and deliver actionable solutions to clients
Education and Experience
- Minimum 2.1 in a numerical, science or business degree
- A minimum of three years commercial experience with a range of analytics tools and techniques is strongly desired
- A proven track record of using data to improve decision making and achieve business goals is strongly desired
- Experience of web analytics, digital marketing and ecommerce methods and technologies is strongly desired
- Commercial experience with other analytical tools (e.g. BI/MIS, statistics or data mining) is highly advantageous
- Commercial experience of any forecasting or predictive analytics techniques is also highly advantageous

- High level of proficiency with MS Office applications
- Experience in educating colleagues and clients in the benefits of utilising data as the basis for business decisions
